2009 European Year of Innovation

After having named 2008 as the « year of intercultural dialogue », the Commission has proclaimed 2009 as the « year of creativity and innovation ». This should create awareness towards all forms of innovation and creativity (social, technological, artistic…) among the general public and should help promote scientific and technological research and knowledge.
